Love Week is a week where we mobilize hundreds of people to love on San Francisco by meeting tangible needs and creating new partnerships with organizations doing important work in the city.

Love Week 2019 Recap

From 2014-2019, Canvas launched Love Week to mobilize people to meet tangible needs and create lasting partnerships with local non-profits in San Francisco.

While the pandemic forced us to pause Love Week, we are excited to finally be able to bring it back in 2024.

Join us from October 14th-20th as we serve and partner with San Francisco.

Join us as at one (or more) of the Love Week serving events.

  • 5pm | Super Hero Capes Making Party with

    Make super hero capes and goodie bags that will be delivered to children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

  • 11am | SF Food Bank

    Prepare food that will be distributed to individuals and families in need all throughout San Francisco.

    3:30pm | GLIDE

    Prepare and serve food to our houseless neighbors in San Francisco.

  • 10am | Golden Gate National Park Clean Up

    Help clean up and take care of San Francisco's Ocean Beach.

    12pm | SF Food Bank

    Prepare food that will be distributed to individuals and families in need all throughout San Francisco.

  • 8:45am | 826 Valencia

    Help under-resourced students with their writing skills by coaching them as they write and record their first podcast.

    3pm | Family house

    Serve a meal, play with, and encourage families with children who are battling severe and terminal illnesses.

  • 8:45am | Homeless Prenatal Pantry

    Come alongside the homeless prenatal pantry to provide resources and support to our homeless neighbors who are pregnant.

    12pm | SF Food Bank

    Prepare food that will be distributed to individuals and families in need all throughout San Francisco.

    3pm | RefuseRefuse

    Partner with RefuseRefuse and clean up a San Francisco neighborhood.

  • 10:30am | Mobilize Love Block Party

    Let's end Love Week 2024 strong with a block party that will provide love, support, and resources for our neighbors in the Bay View.

  • Love Week 2024 will take place the week of October 14th-20th, 2024.

  • The vision of Love Week is to mobilize people to love where they live by making a tangible difference in people's lives and to create longterm partnerships with local non-profits.

  • You can register by clicking any of the registration buttons on the website or by clicking here.

  • No. Love Week is simply a week of serving San Francisco in tangible ways with no strings attached.

    While Love Week may have started with a church, it is not a religious event and is not exclusive to people of faith. Whether you practice a faith tradition or not, you can be a part of Love Week.

  • Absolutely! We will offer a couple events throughout the week that are kid-friendly. This is a great opportunity to serve alongside your kids and make a difference together.

  • As many as you'd like! Some events do have limited capacity though.

  • While we do ask everyone who registers to do everything they can to follow through on their commitment, we do understand that things happen.

    If that is the case, please email us at lydia@canvas-sf.com as soon as possible so we can open up your spot to someone else who is able to serve.

  • Yes! The more the merrier. Love Week is open for anyone who wants to love others and meet tangible needs.
